At the beginning of January 2021 Harald Brouwer and Sandra Hania took over the beautiful business from Jos and Ria Weel. It may be called special that the "circle" has turned out to be round again. Jos is the "Old Chef" of Harald.

How it all started


At the beginning of January 2021, Harald Brouwer and Sandra Hania took over the beautiful Hotel – Restaurant de Tuinkamer from Jos and Ria Weel, which is located in a rural location in the heart of the Achterhoek.
It can be called special, because the “circle” has turned out to be round again. Jos Weel is the “Old Chef” of Harald.
30 years ago the young Harald Brouwer joined Dikker & Thijs in Amsterdam where Jos was head chef. Jos was very much at the cradle of Harald’s career.
It is therefore an honour for Harald and Sandra to continue the ideas of Jos and Ria.
Together with the unchanged and existing team of Restaurant de Tuinkamer, they are building on the same footing where Jos and Ria handed over the baton to Harald and Sandra.

How to continue


With Roel Severink as sous-chef & Sieb Lageschaar chef de parti in the kitchen and Marja Korten & Joeri Hukker as hostess and host, Harald and Sandra, together with all the other staff, will do everything they can to pamper you as a guest.

Harald has had a thorough training from Jos. In addition, with a lot of love, passion and great pleasure, Harald has gained extensive experience in various reputable matters in his life.
Harald has also been owner/chef of restaurant Affiloir (Lekker top 500) for 11 years. Started in 1994 in Hilversum and from the end of 1997 until 2005 in Epe.
Harald and Sandra like to spoil their guests with surprising wines, gourmet cuisine and a cosy and pleasant night’s sleep.
