Privacy & Terms
We prefer to collect as little data as possible from our guests. However, this is sometimes necessary, for example, to deliver/invoice an order or to find out what you think of a new (product) page. FdT treats your data with care and ensures that your privacy is safeguarded.
We protect personal information as if it were our own.
We only use personal data for the purposes described in this privacy statement.
We do not retain data longer than is necessary to achieve the purposes stated in this privacy statement.
We only share personal data if necessary for the execution of the agreement.
What personal data does FdT process?
In order to execute the agreement you enter into with us, we need the following personal data.
Name and address details
Your name is saved because we prefer not to speak to you with your (customer) number. Address and place of residence are needed to draw up invoices, to contact us or, in an extreme case, to drop by.
Keeping personal and business separate is nice. That is why we ask you to fill in your (company) name and business address when you purchase our products as a company.
We keep your email address so that it is possible to send you important messages about your reservation/order or account. We can also use your e-mail address to keep you up to date about new developments at FdT via (OSC). Of course you have the option to unsubscribe.
We use your phone number to contact you in case of an emergency or to ask for your input.
Login details and customer number
We keep your login information to secure access to your account so that only you can log in. We also create a unique customer/guest number so we can help you faster.
We store payment details, your account number and your name as account holder. We also use other parties, such as banks, to process payments. With an order/reservation we create a unique invoice number that is linked to your account.
Other data that FdT processes
We also collect some personal data that is not intended for the execution of an agreement. We do this on the basis of a legitimate interest or with your consent. It concerns the following data.
Work related personal data
If you apply with us, we would of course like to know who you are. We will check this on the basis of your CV, motivation letter, portfolio or submitted application. We will delete your personal data within four weeks in case you are unfortunately not hired.
Some of the aforementioned personal data in combination with the cookies placed by us make it possible for us to see how you use our website and services and where your interests lie. This allows us to better tailor our website, services and advertisements to your taste. The permission you have given us to place cookies and display advertisements can be revoked at any time.
If you make use of our services, we automatically save some data about your connection to our servers in so-called database logs. Think of your IP address, browser version, and the time of your visit. We use the data in these logs to resolve errors on our systems and to track down people who endanger our network in order to take measures against this.
Other personal data
It sometimes happens that we receive additional personal information via support tickets, social media messages or e-mail messages that we have not asked for. If we do not need this personal information to help you further, we will – as far as technically possible – remove it.
Purposes of the data processing
Of course, we do not process personal data without underlying reasons, but we need them for this purpose:
Providing access to our website and services, so that you can log in to OSC (OnlineServiceCenter), for example;
Making useful functionalities work on our website, so that, for example, your input is saved during your next visit;
Entering into and executing your agreement with us, so we know which services you are entitled to;
Contacting us, for example to help you with a problem you encounter;
Handling your complaint;
Securing our services and fighting fraud, so that, for example, someone else does not impersonate you;
Handling responses to our vacancies so we know better if you are the right match.
After obtaining your consent, we will also use your personal data for this purpose:
Gaining insight into the use of our website, so that we know, for example, which pages need to be set up better;
Improving and evaluating our website and services, so that we know, for example, which new functionalities you would like to see in our services;
Tailoring our content to your interests,
We will not use personal data for purposes other than those discussed above, unless you have given your prior consent or we are legally obliged to do so.
We take strict security measures to prevent misuse of, and unauthorized access to, personal information. For example, we ensure that only the necessary persons have access to your data, that access to your data is protected and that our security measures are regularly checked. In addition, we use SSL certificates for a secure transfer of your data and your communication.
Your privacy and third parties
We will only share your information with others in the following cases:
For the provision or performance of our services
To carry out a legal obligation
With your consent, we will share your data with third parties in the following two cases:
To improve our services, website or advertisements
To obtain feedback
We use research agencies to find out how satisfied you are with our services.
Sometimes we take an automated decision on the basis of personal data. Below we explain how this happens, what the reason is for this and what consequences this may have for you.
If an invoice is not paid on time, we will automatically send some warnings to the non-paying customer/guest. If nothing is done afterwards, we will block the services that are purchased from us. As a last resort, a collection agency will be engaged before services are (automatically) terminated.
Cookies may also contain personal information about, for example, your browsing habits and interests. See our cookie statement for all the ins and outs about the cookies we use.
Third Party Websites
Our privacy and cookie statement does not apply to the websites of others to which we link. Of course, we cannot see how they handle the data as we do.
Your privacy rights
As a user of our website and services you have some privacy rights at your disposal. For example, you can ask us to inspect or correct, move or remove your personal data. In addition, it is possible to ask for further processing of your personal data to be temporarily halted or even to object to this.
If you would like to exercise these rights or know more about them, please contact us via e-mail: [email protected]
It is also possible to contact us if you do not wish to exercise any of your privacy rights, but wish to file a complaint about something you are not satisfied with. Pursuant to the privacy legislation, you also have the right to contact the Personal Data Authority.
If you have any questions or comments after reading our privacy and cookie statement, please contact us using the contact information or contact form below.
Due to new legislation or other circumstances we will change our privacy statement from time to time.
This page always shows the latest version. The last change took place on 25 May 2018.
